EVA中的THANATOS绫波丽的专属BGM，在丽为了救真嗣，选择自爆零号机与子宫天使同归于尽时的BGM，真是首伤心的曲子；《Thanatos -If I Can't Be Yours》为eva旧剧场版EOE的片尾曲。音乐表达了绫波面对自己与真嗣不同的事实，为了将存在于否的抉择交予真嗣，自身化为莉莉丝。她将未来赐予真嗣时，婉转悲愁的缠绵之意，蕴含余音绕梁三日不绝的感情。
