新闻运行是国际奥委会《媒体指南》所规定的一个部门，它负责奥运会期间新闻运行的计划和实施--大体可分为5个具体的领域，即：主新闻中心、场馆新闻运行、图片服务、奥运会新闻服务和新闻人员服务，内容包括媒体制证、媒体交通、媒体住宿、新闻人员费率卡和媒体志愿者。奥运会组委会可以设立一个新闻运行部来处理新闻运行事务。

Press Operations
Press Operations is an area defined within the IOC Media Guide. Press Operations is responsible for the planning and delivery of the Press Operations at the Olympic Games – defined loosely by the five key Press Operations deliverables of: Main Press Centre, Venue Press Operations, Photo Services, Olympic News Service, and Press Services, including Media Accreditation, Media Transport, Media Accommodation, Press Rate Card and Media Volunteers. The OCOG may ESTablish a functional area dealing with Press Operations aspects.
