Lana说：“I wrote this lovelorn lament of a lost lover of being on the corner of Hollywood and vine, like i was channeling something, it's really my oldest track on the record because it's a song that's been in the works for about five years, it was called Methamphetamines at first and what's funny is, i had to talk to my publishing company because i didn't know at the time that i was referencing a melody from the original score for Romeo and Juliet from i think the 60's and it was so similar that you know, half of the publishing didn't proceed to seek for an approval. Old Money采样了60年代英国电影《罗密欧与朱丽叶》主题曲《What Is A Youth》，像是Video Games、Bel Air和Ride的合体。在早期清唱小样Methaphetamines中，Lana则在自拍录影带中致敬了猫王。这首小情歌存在意义很明确，就是在你情绪低落的时候，可以翻出来听听，而且朗朗上口，一下子就能跟着音乐哼起来。最后那首爵士调调The Other Women是翻唱自Nina Simone，Lana有个纹身就是Nina，Lana还把这首歌列入她自己最爱播放表之中，现在拿出来翻唱，既是致敬，又展示了自己的品味。

拉娜·德雷（Lana Del Rey）本名Elizabeth Woolridge Grant，1986年6月21日出生于美国纽约州，美国女歌手、词曲创作者、模特。2011年6月发行首张单曲《Video Games》。2012年1月27日发行首张专辑《Born to Die》；同年2月21日获得第32届全英音乐奖国际突破艺人奖。2013年获第32届全英音乐奖国际最佳女歌手奖；同年5月为电影《了不起的盖茨比》献唱插曲《Young and Beautiful》。2014年凭借歌曲《Summertime Sadness》获得第56届格莱美年度混音奖。
