版权页: 插图: 2.并列连词主要表示转折、因果、并列、选择和递进等关系。 (1) but,yet,however表示转折关系。如: The little girl is often praised by the teacher,but she is never confident.这个小女孩经常被老师表扬,但她从来不自信。 He is a billionaire,yet he lives a thrifty life.他是一个亿万富翁,但是他生活很节约。 (2) for,so,slnce表示因果关系。如: The train was gone so I couldn't get there on time.因为火车走了,所以我不能准时到那儿。 We cancelled our picnic plan,for it has been raining for several days.由于连续下了几天的雨,我们取消了野餐计划。 (3) and,as well as,both…and表示并列关系。如: He is your colleague as well as your friend.他既是你的同事又是你的朋友。 She has both courage and confidence.她既有勇气又有自信。 (4) or,either…or表示选择关系。如: There are two possibilities: either you are right or you are wrong.这只有两种可能,要么你是对的,要么你错了。 Either he works hard,or they dismiss him from his position.要么他努力工作,要么他们把他从岗位上解雇。 3.从属连词引导的状语从句主要有:时间状语,原因状语,条件状语。 (1) when,while,as,before,slnce,until,as soon as,once等引导时间状语从句。如: Mozart became a famous pianist when he was young.莫扎特很小的时候就是一个有名的钢琴家了。 I can't leave here until the rain stops.直到雨停我才能离开这。 Once you get used to smoking,you cannot quit it.—旦你吸烟上瘾,你就很难戒掉它。 Since 14 years old,she has been in Britain.她从14岁就一直在英国。 (2) because,as,slnce,now that等引导原因状语从句。如: I didn't go to school yesterday.because l was ill.因为生病了,所以昨天我没去上学。 Now that you have made your choice,I think you can succeed.既然你已经做了选择,我认为你一定会成功的。
