《多样式攻克:大学英语六级词汇根源记忆法(第3版)》以词汇的词源意义作为划分词汇章节的基本依据，将具有同一词源的单词进行归类，作为一个词源系列。在每个词源系列之下，根据词汇的词源意义、扩展意义和引伸意义，再划分为若干个词源集合。通过词源系列排序，不仅能够揭示出每个系列及其各个集合具有共同的词源意义，而且通过对单词的词源分析也能够揭示出单词的进化、颤变和变异过程以及每个集合内单词之间的语义差异和区别。 《多样式攻克:大学英语六级词汇根源记忆法(第3版)》在指出每个词源系列内各个集合词汇的词源意义或扩展意义或引伸意义的基础上，首先对词汇进行音标标注，注明其词性与中文含义；之后，进行必要的词源意义讲解、词根构词分析，从而达到词源记忆和词根记忆的目的；最后，通过例句将该词汇适用的基本语境列出。通过以上方法，可以做到对每个英语单词的词源记忆、词根记忆和语境记忆的多方位记忆突破。
