郭玉劲，男，博士，研究员，2000-2003年，师从于华中师大邓引斌教授，获得数学专业硕士学位；2003-2007年，师从于加拿大皇家科学院院士、加拿大英属哥伦比亚大学Nassif Ghoussoub教授，获得数学专业哲学博士学位。2007-2011年，任美国明尼苏达大学Dunham Jackson助理教授。2011-2012年，任加拿大康哥迪亚大学LTA助理教授。2012年8月任中科院武汉物理与数学研究所研究员、中科院“百人计划”候选人。1

其学术论文已被Arch. Rational Mech. Anal.、Comm.Math. Phys等国际期刊引用的总次数已经达到217次（其中论文单篇最高被引次数为53次）。应邀成为J. Funct. Anal.、Proc. Royal Soc. London Ser. A以及SIAMJ.Math. Anal.等18个国际期刊的审稿人。1

2014年5月13日，郭玉劲谈“Variational Problems Arising in AttractiveBose-EinsteinCondensates”。

三峡大学

中国科学院武汉物理与数学研究所郭玉劲研究员于2015年5月22日来我校理学院访问讲学，并作了题为“吸引力作用下玻色-爱因斯坦凝聚态中的变分问题”的精彩报告。理学院教师、研究生和本科生参加了本次学术活动。3

郭玉劲研究员的报告首先从物理实验和数学描述的角度分别简单地介绍玻色-爱因斯坦凝聚态（BEC）现象，然后侧重于从数学分析的角度探讨吸引力作用下BEC中的变分问题，包括泛函约束极小的存在性与非存在性以及唯一性、质量集中与对称破缺等。3

报告结束后，在座的师生与郭研究员就相关问题进行了积极的提问与交流，大家对这一研究方向有了更深入的了解，同时也开阔了广大师生的视野。3
