作者简介

Yang Xiaoneng,Patrick J.J. Maveety Curator of Asian Art at Stanford University's Iris and B. Gerald Cantor Center for Visual Arts, specializes in Chinese art, archaeology, and history. He has organized international exhibitions of Chinese art and archaeology of various periods and themes. His publications include The Golden Age of Chinese Archaeology: Celebrated Discoveries from the People's Republic of China, New Perspectives on China's Past: Chinese Archaeology in the Twentieth Century, Reflections of Early China, and Tracing the Past, Drawing the Future: Master Ink Painters in Twentieth-Century China.

Gong Jianhua, an accomplished photographer and a member of China Photographers Association, works at his own Sunshine Studio in San Francisco, U.S.A. During his thirty-year professional career, his photographs have been featured in several solo exhibitions in China, Japan, and the United States, and appeared in various publications. He has received numerous awards including the Golden Prize at the First Shanghai International Photograph Exhibit in 1986, the Silver Prize at the Fifteenth Photograph Exhibit of the People's Republic of China in 1989, and the Special Prize at the Japanese Olympus International Photograph Competition in 1992.
